The Malagasy people are from mixed ancestry and get various cultural heritages derived from a blend of Afro-Asian and Arabic traditions, civilizations, and languages.
The Malagasy people are firmly attached to their origins; as a result, their culture and civilization have a strong imprint on their lifestyle, and architecture such as the Merina and Betsileo thatched roof red clay cottage in the Central Highlands and the impressive Zafimaniry sculpture and house structure.
Tomb and house structures differ from one tribe to one another; such as the Mahafaly colorful painted tombs decorated with sculpted wooden posts called “Aloalo” , which are built with great. “Famadihana” or exhumation ceremony is the most important religious event for the Merina and other Highlander ethnic groups. This cultural ceremony occurs every year from August to October in the central highlands.

Day 1: Arrival
Arrival, meet and greet at Ivato airport and transfer to the hotel located in Antananarivo capital city.
Dinner and overnight at TAMBOHO HOTEL (3*)
Day 2: Visit of Rovan'Ambohimanga World Heritage Site
Morning visit of Rovan'Ambohimanga or a Royal fortified village, which lies 24km of Antananarivo, located on one of the Antananarivo 12 sacred hills. This fortified royal compound dated back to 18th century, is surrounded by 2 defensive ditches while each one is sealed my 7gateways.
Two different house structures built in different period of time can be seen there.
Afternoon sightseeing tour, visiting some historical sites such as the old Priminister Palace built by London Missionary Society, and Queen's Palace or Rovan'ny Manjakamiadana built by French architect anc achieved by English architecte.

Day 3: Drive to Isalo
Morning departure to Antsirabe, visit of Merina village.
Afternoon drive to Ambositra, visit of wood carving workshop.

Day 4: Drive to Antoetra, visit of Zafimaniry village
Visit of the village wiith its typical wooden house with scupted doors and windows.
Return to Ambositra.
